(UPDATE) Please help, I am in so much pain
Heading into the RE at 9:45 this morning to be checked for overstimulation. I am in SO much pain. My whole abdomen is so tender, on both sides, that it feels like I was doing crunches all night. It's uncomfortable to sit, stand, and lay down, I was up most of the night. I don't know what to do with myself, I'm miserable.
Anyone have any experiences to share? How long does this last? What can I do to feel better? I am miserable.

UPDATE - So I just got home and Dr. San Roman said that the good news is I am NOT hyperstimulated however, my ovaries are enlarged. They are about the size of tennis balls!  He said with hyperstimulation they are usually much larger, like grapefruits. I have no fluid at all in my abdomen or ovaries which is good news. He did mention that in most cases, when he sees this with his patients it's actually a good sign and they end up being pregnant. I sure hope he's right.
So basically, he said it will get worse before it gets better  and if I am pregnant, it will probably last a lot longer too. Just have to rest, drink Gatorade and V8, and take Tylenol. Also have to keep an eye out for any rapid weight gain. Going back on Friday for another check and for my progesterone test.

Yes! I know exactly what you are decribing. Unfortunately, when i felt that bad we did not go ahead with the transfer. I had to freeze everything and do an fet. If you get preg your symptoms can get much worse. Are you on dostinex, drinking v8 and gatorade! I found that helped my symptoms. I was also told to limit my other fluid intake and no caffeine. Feel better

I am not doing IVF, had B2B IUI's on Friday and Saturday so there is no turning back now.  I'm not on any medication, this just started last night so like I said, I'm heading to the RE in an hour to see what's going on. Thanks for the tips, I read about the V8 and Gatorade so after my appt. I will stop and pick some up. This is SO uncomfortable.

It happened to me in an iui cycle. It was so incredibly painful, it was hard to even stand up straight.I ended up getting pg and that actually prolonged it. I had two cysts and tons of fluid in my abdomen. Get lots of rest and drink tons of fluids!

How many follicles did you have?
A few. At least 3, maybe 4. At last check before the IUI I had a 12,13,14, and 15. But then I my last shot of Bravelle and Menopur and the Ovidrel the day before the IUI. This feels awful.

OMG!!  It lasted longer than days?? Oh my gosh, how am I going to function? On top of this pain I have a 3 yr old to care for, how the heck am I going to manage everything with this pain?
I am drinking Gatorade right now and having an english muffin, I think my stomach was so empty it was making me queasy on top of everything else. I was going to take Tylenol but then figured maybe I should wait until after my appt. Last night I though I just had gas  and I took Gas X and went to the bathroom but it didn't help at all.
This stinks!

Sorry, forgot you were doing an iui. I would just rest and drink gatorde and v8 . I also took it very easy, no heavy lifting, and no strenuous activities than can cause your ovaries to twist. Feel better and wishing you lots of luck!

This has happened to me after B2B iui's.
And the most I ever made was 3-4 follicles on an iui cycle.
The pain was horrific, I couldn't fully stand up straight and every step was like a stab. It went away slowly after like 3 days.
I have had 9 iui's and this happened really bad only one time, and a bit bad like 2-3 times.

pain afterwards was somewhat normal for me when i had several follies. i hyperstimmed once and was in a lot of pain and was so bloated i needed DH to tie my shoe. i had mild OHSS with my IVF and that was a lot worse. it was pretty bad after my ER and then went away a few days later. 2 days after my BFP it came back with a vengeance and i gained 9lbs of fluid in 48 hours. it was bad for about a week i could barely move and i looked 6m pregnant.
