Very frequent BH contractions- like 7 to 10 mins apart
Something to be concerned about?
I have been getting two NSTs a week for the past 4 weeks and have not registered a contraction yet. I was feeling pretty regular braxton hicks last night for a while and was running around all day today, then had my NST at 4:30. In the 30 or so mins I was hooked up- I had SEVEN contractions. I was uncomfortable because of the tightening of my belly, but that's really it.
I am finally lying down now- but I guess I'm a little nervous. Supposed to be induced on Wednesday. Anyone get BH like this?

are you sure they are BH?? Did you go into labor naturally with your DD?
Maybe the baby doesn't want to wait til Weds!!

Tightening of the belly is usually BH.
Pain radiating from the back to the front of the belly = labor.
Are they increasing in strength as they go or decreasing in strength?
I'd take it easy & stay hydrated.

Re: Very frequent BH contractions- like 7 to 10 mins apart
I'm on the NTS once a week (monitoring a blood clotting disorder). I've registered irratic contractions and BHs. I was sent to L&D 2xs for an IV.
Anyway, if you start to notice a pattern to them then it is labor and not just BHs.
GL and keep us posted!

Re: Very frequent BH contractions- like 7 to 10 mins apart
I had what I thought was BH. It went on for 3 days with no regular pattern. It didn't hurt but it kept me up at night so I went to see the Dr and he said if it's been on for athat long it's not BH. I was in labor. 4 days later I delivered. Good luck to you! ETA: it didn't hurt till I was in active labor, maybe 12 hours prior to delivery.

Re: Very frequent BH contractions- like 7 to 10 mins apart
thx.. the nurse at L&D seemed to think it wasn't anything, but I really didn't have BH last time, and also these were so frequent. She said if they were real contractions, I would KNOW.
I went into labor naturally, sorta, last time.. My water broke naturally but I was not contracting or dilating on my own, so they gave me pitocin to move everything along...
So, laboring at home, timing contractions, etc. would definitely be a new experience for me. And, by the time the contractions got bad last time, I had my epidural so I didn't really feel them.
Either way, the kid will make an appearance by Wed.
