dumb question!
If you're breastfeeding, i know you're supposed to get wide neck nipples for your bottles, but are you supposed to get different pacifiers too?

Re: dumb question!
Never heard of different pacifiers but I have heard you shouldn't introduce pacifiers for the first few weeks when you are BFing because it may cause nipple confusion. Each baby is different though. My DD used the Soothie pacifiers from day one and never had any nipple confusion.

Re: dumb question!
Definitely not a dumb question! I never heard of using different pacis, so I don't think that you have to worry about that. I tried my best not to give ds a paci because I was so worried about confusion, but when he was about 2 weeks old we had 2 days of solid screaming & my mom gently suggested that maybe he wanted a paci...I hesitantly gave him a Soothie & he was happy as a clam! Thankfully we had no confusion & this time I won't hesitate to give the baby a paci.
