St. Luke's Roosevelt Hosp in NYC

Anyone have L&D experience there? Good / bad? This is where my OB delivers.

How often do people switch OBs based on the hospital they deliver at?

I delivered my DS there. He came 8+ weeks early and I feel that they treated me and DS with top level service. I had no idea prior, but they have one of the top level NICUs there so my DS didn't have to be transferred to a different hospital. He stayed in the NICU for a month and I can't say nice enough things about the NICU nurses! They were amazing. I had a shared room for 5 days (c-section) and thankfully they roomed with with another mom that had a NICU baby (which was great since I couldn't have my baby in the room with me and it would have been torture if my roommate had a baby there when I couldn't have mine).

The rooms are not "hotel-like" at all - they look like regular hospital rooms. Nothing fancy about them. I do know they have nicer private rooms, but it's something like $800 per night. Since I was staying for 5, that was not in my price point Chat Icon Chat Icon

I had my DD there 2 years ago and it was fine. Nothing fancy and you have to share a room but I didn't want to change OBs so not worth looking at other places. I will deliver there again in June. My DD was also in the NICU and they were amazing! hoping next time we don't need to use them!

Good Luck

Thanks for the feedback! I'm not picky, but a friend who is gave me a little worry about SLR...I'll ignore her Chat Icon
