I give up

Last month the doctor finally let me start metformin. I was so happy I feel like finally we were trying something. On Saturday I developed chest pains. The endo feels I have developed lactic acidosis. I'm so swolllen. I gained 6 pounds in 1 day. The migraine is horrid. I'm tired, weak, and have lost some muscle control. I feel like such a failure. I will never be a mom. I can't get out of my pity party and I hate the world.

do not give up! metformin is like the tylenol of fertility drugs..the beginning!

it is not a deal breaker,like if u cannot be on metformin you cannot have a baby

don't be so hard on yourself! you will be a mom!


i know how frustrating it can be..it really really suucks..no other way to put it but we keep going! going bc we want the end result

I am super limited to what I can have because I had liver tumors. I was just so hopeful. Sometimes I feel like this is just not meant to be because of health issues.

it is so hard not to feel that way,i am sure all of us have one time or another but that's where faith kicks in..mine is hanging on by a rope but i think i will hang on just for a bit longer but ask me again in a few months

I don't ovulate (pcos) and I have endometriosis. The original plan was to start iui in march but that was pushed back to June before this so I'm not sure when now. The doctors wanted me tumor free for six months. My last clean scan was December. I was allowed to try naturally till then but the doctors didn't want to use meds till then.

the last message sounds very positive. Stay strong. Some people just have more of ajourney than others. Doesnt mean you are at your destination, you just have to continue on your journey. Metformin is not the end all be all drug. Give yorself a break.. take it easy.. prayers are with you!!!

Metformin is not a miracle drug.

On it for a year, ... nothing. I moved into bigger and better things and so will you.

I spoke to the endo today and she wanted me to go to the ER because of the swelling and chest pain. My EKG was normal and my blood pressure is fine but I still have chest pain. I told her I did not want to go so we decided I could see the cardiologist on Monday. If things checkout ok there they will do an MRI of my liver to check to make sure this isn't due to more tumors. If no tumors they will try the metformin again.

My endo is going to speak to the liver doctor and see if there are any meds that I am not allergic to that don't secrete from the liver.

I broke down at work today. I am just so defeated and feel like I do not have a positive thing to say,do, feel!
