flying and pregnant - xray machine question
Not pg, but thinking ahead. What do drs say about flying and pregnancy, early on? Can you opt to say no to the xray machines and get a pat down instead?

Re: flying and pregnant - xray machine question
I think it depends on your dr and your pregnancy (do you have any issues, high risk, etc.). my ob was ok with travelling between months 4 and 6 or 7. I traveled at 4 or 5 months preggo and just told security that i didn't want to go thru the xray machine and they just did a pat down instead - it was fine but just took a little more time to get through security.

Re: flying and pregnant - xray machine question
I said I wasnt comfortable with the X-ray scanner since I was newly pregnant. They asked me to sit and wait for a pat down but no one ever came and they waved me through.

Re: flying and pregnant - xray machine question
my dr told me assuming no complications, you can travel up to your third trimester
regarding the x-ray you can opt out for a pat down even if you arent pregnant so i am sure its not a problem while pregnant
