i dont have a picture. mine is just plain old black like the front if it was to show.
i have a wall on one side and a panel the same colour and wood as the cabinets. finishes it off i think.

wait, so lets just say the end of your fridge is on the left. does the panel cover the left only? what about the side that is up against the cabinets...is that paneled too?

i can visualize anything, but this i just cant get lol

Do you have a pic of what it looks like now?

If you're getting the panel, would you have the crown molding extending to the panel?

And how much would extending a wall cost?

Those are things to consider...

For me, we just added the panel 'cus it just looked better and we had the crown molding in place to extend up to the panel.

If it was a counter depth fridge I would get a panel on the sides that are open to the room.
My fridge is up against one wall on one side and then there is a panel on the opposite side and I have the cabinets go up to it.

If you do not have a counter depth fridge then I would just leave it. If you put a panel chances are it is going to be the depth of bottom cabinets so you would still the portion that sticks past the cabinets. If you can customize the depth of the panel then I would add it. It will give it a more built in look.

Re: does anyone have a picture of the side of your fridge...

thanks all.

i am building the kitchen, so i can put the wall where i want it. but the fridge is not counter depth and its the first thing on the wall of my kitchen. it is a wrap-around and the fridge kind of starts it. i think after seeing some pics that im going to just extend the wall.

the wall is extended from a small hallway. i have a pretty open concept and youll see practically the entire kitchen from anywhere you stand and plenty of cabinets.

i was thinking to make it a wall (it faces my dining room) that i can paint the same color as the peninsula wall also facing into my dining room.

Re: does anyone have a picture of the side of your fridge...

So you want to frame out the fridge somehow since it's on the end, right?

Ours is up against a wall and the other side has a white panel to match (pic below). But if your fridge is on the end and the side is exposed I would frame it in with whatever your cabinets look like. We did this for our new pantry, the side of it looks like our cabinet fronts. I'd have to see a pic to see what a wall would look like..

pantry - just realized we hadn't put the panels up yet in this pic but you can get an idea

The bottom left shows the end of our peninsula where we put up a cabinet panel also
