gardeners-where do you buy your seeds?
I'm starting to plan out our garden for our new home because we have a GIGANTIC yard..
Where's the best place to buy seeds though?
We're going to start some of the plants indoors end of march/beg. of april, but the rest we'll start outside during the mid/end of may
tia!

Re: gardeners-where do you buy your seeds?
last year was my first garden at the house did the following:
early spring: lettuce
Mid Spring/Late Spring plantings: Corn, Cucumbers, Tomatoes (var. varieties), peppers, garlic (which flopped), string beans
Late Summer (i sew the seeds directly which was a bad judgement call) was snow peas (which did work), turnips (did work), beats and cabbage which didn't work and some herbs.
This year I hope to figure it out soon so I can start in my father's mini greenhouse by early april:
Lettuce (again) in early spring and late summer Cucumbers (again) Beats - early spring planting so i should start in March with the seeds indoors. Beans of some kind (snap peas or string) Potatoes - purple variety in a potato bag not in the garden Red peppers/two chili pepper variety plants but unsure on the peppers. Then maybe a late corn planting but unsure.
i still have room but really unsure since tomatoes really kill your soil so I know I can't do it this year. I have to really focus on getting a composter this year so my soil retains nutrition without using man made fertilizers. I plan to use fish meal/bones once spring hits like the native americans did to boost the soil's nutrition levels for a better crop all season.
