If you recently went to Vegas, where did you stay and hwo did you like it?

Stayed two Aprils ago, I think, yeah...

The Bellagio, it was amazing. The most beautiful hotel, w/ great service.

I liked the look of the Wynn and Encore as well.

I was there in April for a work conference at Caesars. It was the second trip in a row in which I was put in a smoking room when I had made a specific request for non-smoking. I can't really complain about anything that happened after they moved me but the first room was much more conveneient to the conference location. I loved the hotel location but nothing there really wowed me. I stayed at Mandalay Bay years ago & loved it but that location is a much different feel.

No matter where you stay, opt for the spa at Bellagio. That was a great tip I got from these boards.

I've stayed in the following:

Luxor: Really enjoyed the jacuzzi in the suite.

Excalibur: Was so so; was told after the fact to ask for a room in the renovated tower

Planet Hollywood: Was cool but a little loud

Rio: Loved this one even though it was off the strip.

Bellagio: Gorgeous room; only stayed because it was a comp room. Otherwise too expensive for me.

I can't recommend The Cosmopolitan enough. Recently stayed at the Bellagio and this one blows it away. It's right next door, they actually have balconies that look over the Bellagio fountains.

The room at Wynn was freakin amazing and so was the view!!!! I didnt want to leave... got a great deal on priceline otherwise we would have never experienced it... Sounds crazy but if you stay off the strip, the golden nugget was pretty nice too

I went three times:
1st-Mirage, which I loved and was in the center of the Strip
2nd-Bellagio-beautiful, beautiful hotel..highly recommend!
3rd-back at the Mirage...got a good rate and loved the hotel so went back!

Mandalay Bay - Beautiful Hotel but too far away from the center of the strip and a bit boring if you ask me.

Awesome pool though.

I was there in June. Dh and I got a great price at MGM Grand. It was nice. Pool was good. I did not love its location.

Prior to that we stayed at Mirage. Good location, nice hotel.. Tried to go to the pool once, but it was too packed.

First time we stayed at Paris (AWESOME!!!) and then at Excalibur (MOST DISGUSTING).

The Old Stardust (it's gone) but it was nice!

The Mirage: liked it at the time, but it was the first Vegas hotel I stayed at.

Mandalay Bay: I absolutely loved it!! Nothing else compared to it!!


I would avoid The Excalibur, The Luxor and NY, NY.

we just went in June and stayed at the cosmopolitan- OMG!! AMAZING!!! it was originally supposed to be condos, so every room is like a mini suite- huge bathroom with gigantic shower, soaking tub... super comfy bed, and balcony with incredible view of the strip. lots of great restaurants there, and 2 different pools...
i think its pricey though! the only reason we stayed there is because we won the trip when we went to a taping of the Rachael Ray show haha

the other time i went, we stayed at the MGM Grand, which was really nice, too... although kind of all the way at the end of the strip, so a little bit of a walk to stuff. rooms were really nice though!

LOVED it.
Just gorgeous, amazing rooms etc
And I loved the location...it was not mid strip- so it wasn't as chaotic outside the hotel- but just a short walk away from mid strip so it was quick and easy to get around.

We only went to Vegas once before, in 2009, and stayed in MGM Grand which we both loved! However, they are currently undergoing renovations and we just really didn't want to stay there while they do. You just never know where exactly in the hotel you are going to end up and if all the noise is going to impact the exact room you will be in! My husband will also have to be doign some work form the hotel room so I would definitely like to make sure it's a comfortable quite room without construction noise..

I am trying to find something for nicer places closer to the middle of the strip, like Paris, Bellagio, Venetian, Cesar's Palace, but everything is just so darn expensive! Where are all those deals people find on hotel rooms...

Priceline? Is it when you offer your own price for the room and it may or may not get rejected but if it's accepted you MUST go through with the deal?

That place scares me!

I loved Caesars. It was the perfect location in the middle of the strip and had Pure which is one of my favorite nightclubs because you can go out on the deck and see the whole strip.

I think New York New York was a nice hotel and was a lot less expensive than the other ones.

Been to Vegas twice and going again next month. I stayed at Luxor and Paris.
If you do Luxor (toward the end of the strip) - ask for a room in the renovated tower. The rooms in the pyramid itself tend to be older and depending on the floor - even a bit cramped because of the sloping ceiling.

The Paris was great but there were definitely some rooms that could have used updating. The one I was in was ok but the ones my friends were in had holes in the furniture and a broken remote control for the TV, a very old room alarm clock. The front desk replaced the remote control and they had good customer service - but just keep that in mind when you book.

Just got back and stayed at Aria. Eh, it was new but just OK. Cosmo seemed nicer. My fave so far has been Palazzo (better than Venetian.)

Went in October, stopped there for a few nights on our way home from Hawaii on our honeymoon.

We stayed at Mandalay Bay and we LOVED it! Such a nice hotel
