Southwest travelers....
Southwest released their dates for end of August - and they are much cheaper than the other airlines right now. We would save a lot by booking now. The catch - DH isn't 100% sure we will be able to go - he is like 95% sure - but not 100%.
Do you find that SW is cheapest the day they release or does it sometimes go down - right now it is $89 down and $135 home (ISP to MCO). I have been watching earlier dates in August and they were $89 each way - now they are $136-169 both ways.
If we have to reschedule does anyone know how long you have to rebook? Their site says you can rebook but doesn't say how long you have to do it - it is very vague:
Fares are nonrefundable but may be applied toward future travel on Southwest Airlines for the originally ticketed passenger only.
Should a passenger fail to apply the nonrefundable ticket toward the purchase of future travel within the eligibility period, the entire amount of the fare, which includes without limitation, all fees, taxes, and charges, will be forfeited.
What is the eligibility period?

Re: Southwest travelers....
It's a year from the date you bought the ticket. So if you buy a ticket today and need to reschedule, you have to use it by 1/22/13.

I would book now, and rebook if it's cheaper down the road, and save the credit for future use. If you can't go, they give you a credit, and do NOT charge a fee like Jetblue does.

Thank you but I think we are going to wait - because if we can't go there is no way we will be able to reschedule and travel before Jan of 2013 - we would have to wait until the following summer to go. I was hoping that we would have a year from original date of travel not booking to have to travel.
