Cost of a new furnace/boiler?

(ugh.. i'm tired of asking how much things cost lol).

Anyway, on that note, DH and I are going to convert over to gas in the house that we're ready to go into contract for (fingers crossed on that one Chat Icon). There is already a gas line and meter in the house so that's good. But we have to get a new furnace/boiler then. Anyone have any experience regarding costs of this?

I know it can vary depending on the type that is bought but i'm just trying to get an idea.

TIA!

I have been told $10 to $15K... Ours is original the house, so we know it's only a matter of time... My friend just spent $13k.

I just upgraded my hot water heater to an Indirect system which was about 3k. My guy said if i needed to do the boiler as well, would be another 5-6k.

So about 9-10k, which is assuming you are also replacing your hot water heater at the same time.

When we put in our CAC system back in 2006, we ended up getting a new furnace that was more efficient so that it could run not only our heating system (forced air), but also run the CAC system we were installing (both heat and AC come through the same duct system). I think we paid about $3300 for it.
