East Islip Schools ~ Islip Terrace
Some of you know I am in the middle of purchasing, or trying to purchase a short sale in Sayville. Ive been waiting since August for an answer from their bank. I decided to keep looking just in case they turn around and say no.
Id like to be close to Sayville. Does anyone know about the EI school district? I know nothing at all. Im coming from Shoreham. My taxes are 7500, I have a half acre on a culdesac in a country like area. Im having a hard time finding ANYTHING like that in the area :(

I am a teacher and interviewed at East Islip and fell in LOVE! The schools seemed wonderful and the area was great. If I could afford to buy house there I would in a heartbeat.

I have friends who grew up in E Islip and they still talk about how they want their kids to go there --- I take that as a good sign.

My daughter graduated from there when we lived there about 10 yrs ago. Never had an issue with the school. Loved the area. It was one of the areas we were looking into when we were house hunting.
Be careful with Islip Terrace. Some parts go to Central Islip School.

we purchased a house in east islip a year and a half ago. the reputable schools were one of the major selling points for us since i am a teacher and thats a big deal for me.

we bought in east islip for the schools as well, dd is in the universal prek right now through the school and so far love everything that i have seen with the schools.hth
