My update - not so positive :(
I had a lap this past summer to correct a blocked fallopian tube. My 1st dr. wanted to remove it completely bc it was a hydro and she said it would never function properly again…maybe she was right? I thought she was nuts at the time. My 2nd opinion was less invasive and said lets try to repair it and if not he would remove it. He did the surgery and said it looked good and was able to repair it.
Anyway, I just had an hsg after 6 months post op and ttc with no results - and I want to thank you girls for pushing me to go for it, bc I really did not want to do it. Soo it turns out the tube is reblocked. UGHHH. The procedure was extremely painful too, I almost fainted, but then again I am a baby.
So I just wasted over 6 months, had surgery and all for f - ing nothing! I am beyond upset. I am now seeing a new dr. bc I moved and he said we can try clomid and hcg injections. No guarantee which side I will O from or how I will respond. I really feel like I am starting ALL over though. I am sorry for venting and being a debbie downer but I am giving myself a big ole pity party. And overalll I am just regretting any/all decisions I have ever made. Maybe I should have skipped the surgery or maybe went with the first doctor. Coulda shoulda woulda, I guess I cannot change it now. Ok thanks for listening.

Re: My update - not so positive :(
you couldn't have known how it was going to turn out...heck if I had known it would take this long to ttc then I would have started when I was 24 not 28. And think of all the money wasted on BC! I hope that you have success moving forward, there is nothing you can do about the past.

You could not have know. You would be wondering the same thing if you did not do the surgery. I am hoping you get more answers! Feel better soon!

Ahhhh I am the queen of 'what ifs' ... but ultimately you made the best decision you could have made at the time. What's that saying? Hindsight is always 20/20? Trust me, I am right there with you... but like people have told me, all these decisions (whether good or bad) are the ones that will eventually lead you to your baby!

Re: My update - not so positive :(
i know how hard this can be, but please don't beat yourself up over it. you made the right decision at the time and that's what matters. looking back, you might have wondered what if.
my HSG showed a blocked tube and i went through the procedure to unblock it and ttc for a while and had 2 ectopics. i lost that tube. i felt the same as you for a long time but looking back now, i know i would have regretted not taking that chance.
i only have 1 tube and was still able to get my little miracle. please keep your chin up and keep on moving forward.

No IVF coverage and not ready for that just yet. HOWEVER if nothing happens by November I will switch insurance during my open enrollment. We have a plan that isnt so great BUT it covers up to $8k or something like that so I would consider it then. But I want to give this a go a lil longer. I am not at my breaking point yet. I am very bummed but starting to just be at peace with it. It is what it is and you are right I made all the right decisions for myself at the time.
