OK, I have an idea for this board but might be ridiculous..hear me out..
OK...I was thinking how I have a $63 store credit (it's on a gift card) to Ann Taylor Loft BUT there has been nothing I am interested in buying there. However, there is something I want at NY & CO.
I know others have been in the same position..and I do know there is a website or prob many of them at this point where you can swap gift cards or sell for cash but I just haven't had the nerve to do it.
Do you think something like that on LIF would work?? I'm not even sure how it would go. I guess you would have to trust that all goes smoothly, but I would totally sell my $63 credit for even $50 cash..its worth it to me to lose $13 in exchange for $50 to spend elsewhere. And i'm sure there is someone who wants or will want to buy something at Loft.
Crazy? Too much involved??? If it's completely a stupid idea I apologize. Just thought i'd throw it out there!!

I don't know if or how it would work either BUT I have 120$ gf with 20$ in coupons to DSW and I have found nothing. So I would be interested in getting rid of it .
I would be willing to give it up for 100$

Maybe it can be like a buy/swap/sell type thing like we have on other boards...
I know I would love to get $50 cash for my gift card.
I think obviously there is some element of trust involved when sending cards through the mail and what not, but i am a pretty trusting person, lol and feel comfortable enough on this site to do that.
If anyone was interested in my $63 credit for instance, I can mail it to them.when they get it they can confirm the balance on the card and then pay me through pay pal OR send a check.
A lot of times too you can use the #'s on the gift card/store credit to use online, so if two people agree on a swap they can deal with giving one another the gift card #'s or paypal arrangements.
Sounds involved but i think it could work!
I know i get gift cards for holidays/bdays to places i either can't find anything at or don't shop at that someone else would and vice versa, i'm sure others are in the same boat!

sheesh..i bought my parents a $400 liberty travel card that expires in april and they havent used it yet. Im figuring im going to be SOL on that and they wont use it
