How long to get results from a pre-appraisal?

How long to get results from a pre-appraisal?
Our pre-appraisal is this morning. I have no idea what time. When can we expect the results? I wanted to schedule the inspection as soon as I can so we can get in contract already.

pre-appraisal?
we had our pre-approval from the bank before we put our offer in, then had the inspector come in..
the bank's appraiser isn't coming until the beg. of next week, and we've been in contract for 3 weeks or so..

we had our pre-approval from the bank before we put our offer in, then had the inspector come in..
the bank's appraiser isn't coming until the beg. of next week, and we've been in contract for 3 weeks or so..
I know thats how it usually works, the appraisal is after contract. We had to do a pre-appraisal first because with the seller's concession it brings our offer above the asking price which raises a red flag to the banks. We need to make sure the house appraises for the amount before we continue.

no clue how long it takes..we actually just talked to our lawyer and mortgage broker today and they informed us that our appraisal very well may be happening today as well
