What can I do to decorate this armoire?

We have a large space in our livingroom where we usually keep DS' toys, but I hate having them all over the floor. We bought something similar to this tv armoire to put against the wall. I'm going to add more shelves to it and store DS' toys in there (keeping the doors closed at all times so it doesnt look messy).

Its relatively short (maybe 6 feet high but we have 9' ceilings). I want to create height in the room so I was thinking of putting some baskets or something on the top. Maybe a few baskets stacked and other items? I'm also not sure what to do with the wall around it...maybe pictures next to the armoire? I've been searching blogs and such but I cant find any pictures of what I'm envisioning. Can anyone help with some ideas?

I would do a collection-- like 3, vases or tall objects, a plant and maybe some antique books-- or hardcovers with the jackets taken off. Arrange those items til you are happy with the way it looks.

Also, just walk around homegoods and see if there are any other objects that catch your eye.

I wouldn't do baskets-- I think that may be too bulky since it's a heavy piece of furniture that will mostly be closed.
