when you and your SO dont agree...
On something related to IF, what do you do? How do you decide what decision to make?
Also, does one of you generally take the lead in making the decisions and deciding on your course of treatment?

DH and I have butted heads during this whole journey. I have pretty much taken the lead and he goes along with it. We recognize that we have the same goal so that helps. But I'm def the boss when it comes to this stuff.

Same here, since I know more of what is going on and what steps there are to take, he just goes along with the flow.

Luckily, DH and I always seem to be on the same page when it comes to our IF treatment. We always discuss everything and make the decisions together regarding our treatment and he's always been on board with me.
I will say, at times things are harder for me though because, as I'm sure you can all relate, everything is on me.............the meds, the testing, the procedures, the BFP's, the losses, etc. etc. so sometimes it makes it hard to have a clear head so I'm glad that he's always with me to listen and to help guide me.

This is how we have been. There have been some moments when we didnt totally agree at first but we've been real open and honest with communication (almost too much communicating) and that has helped a lot in the moments when we coldnt agree.
I can add that just yesterday we had a difference of opnion in doing IVF for a second child. I would do it, he doesnt want to. We shared our thoughts and finally left it at this: I said I understand that you would be ok with only one child whereas I would like to build a larger family. If natural doesnt work after we conceive our first through IVF, id at least like to know that you would consider it down the line. he agreed to consider it which was good enough for me. At the end of the day, the 2 of us try really hard to understand where the other is coming from and make a decision that suits us both. It has taken a long time to get to this type of understanding. I sucked at communicating and compromising beofre I met him lol
