I think I like the first one better. The second looks more rugged. Like a PP said they look like tall motorcycle boots.

I'm about to return boot #1 ... They fit my calf weird even though I ordered wide calf so they would fit comfortably.

I actually like #2 better.
I did once order 1 but returned them because they didn't fit nice & I didn't like the leather (I got them in brown though)

#1 is more of a riding style and sleek.
#2 are nice too but they don't seem like riding boots. They are a bit bulky.
I prefer #1.
