HCG shot and not ovulating
I am in a panic here. I have done IVF with the HCG shot, but this month was my first medicated IUI with the HCG shot. I took the shot on Tues night and had my IUI this morning, 36 hours later. Well, I just took an ovulation test with the  face and I got a smiley face. That means I am surging now tonight and I was supposed to ovulate sometime earlier today. Does the surge still there mean I haven't ovulated yet?

From what I know, you shouldnt bother with the OPKs if you're doing medicated cycles. The hormones might interfere with the accuracy. If you did the shot 36 hours ago, you should be Oing now. I wouldnt worry about it.

I took the shot about 46 hours ago. I had IUI 36 hours after shot. I tested with an OPK and it is still coming up postive

This is what I have heard as well. I can't use OPKs for that reason- they never work for me.

It could be the meds. Stop testing! As long as your doctors are doing bloodwork and sonos, they are way more reliable than opks.

ITA. OPKs don't work with medicated cycles. Put down the pee stick!!
