Re: Spinoff to the NC areas post
We moved down almost a month ago. We decided Winston Salem because a friend of my fil was selling their townhouse so we were able to buy it quickly. My dh works about a half hour away. We were lucky enough to have my fil 20 minutes away and my bil lives about 50 minutes away in Greensboro. If we weren't set up with the townhouse we probably would still be trying to decide where to move to. This is just a starter home for us until we get to know N.C. and decide where we want to settle for good. My dh wants to eventually move to Charlotte. I love it here, though. Winston Salem is beautiful. It was the BEST decision we ever made. My parents are still on Long Island so some days it is hard, but I would never turn back.

Re: Spinoff to the NC areas post
I was an admin assistant at Merrill Lynch, and there are so many bankers in Charlotte, I knew I could find work.
DH is in restaurant management, where there is banker's money, there are restaurants.
DH was also sold on the whitewater/mountain bike park that was built here.
Meghan on this site got us in touch with her buyers agent. Leo came down, met him, and loved it.
