Do I really need...
side snap T-shirts? My friend just had a baby and said other than when she was in the hospital she never used them. She just puts her DS in onesies.
and a changing table cover for the pack 'n play? I can't remember what it looked like. I registered for the Graco Counting sheep one. I do plan on keeping the PNP in my downstairs family room and using the changer and bassinet. How many sheets for the bassinet? 2 or 3?
TIA

Re: Do I really need...
I hated the side snaps because they would ride up around her neck. I would forgo them and look for the side snap onesies, instead of just the t-shirts.
ETA: I just laid a disposable changing pad on the pack n play changing table.
ETA again : I just use the millions of extra receiving blankets I have for sheets in my pack n play bassinet. I just tuck them into the sides really well. Works just fine.

I think so. They make the very frequent diaper changes much easier on days when you are staying home.

I hated the side snap undershirts and I never used the changing table part on my pack n play. I live in a ranch so I just went down the hall to her room

I never used the side snap onesies except at the hospital and we did just fine. I can't help you with the PNP because mine has always been at the sitters. I would say 2 - 3 sheets for the PNP is good.

Re: Do I really need...
I think the reason you get the side snap shirts is for the umbilical cord. You dont want to put a onesie on a newborn so the cord stump can get caught on the shirt and pull - KWIM

Re: Do I really need...
I would get side snap t-shirt, but only enough to use until the cord falls off, DS fell off in about a week. After that I would go right into onesies, I hate the t-shirt and now have so many I'll never use!

Re: Do I really need...
I personally loved them and used them all the time for the first couple of months, even after the belly button fell off. I guess some of it was pure laziness and hating to have to take off pants, then unbutton a onesie then having to redo it to change a diaper. If we went out I used onesies though because the t shirts will ride up and it was winter so they didn't keep the baby completely covered. Maybe just get one pack and see how you like them. I ended up buying the next size up and using them since I liked them so much.

Re: Do I really need...
I didnt really need the side snap Ts. Ella wasn't a big baby, so the regular 0-3m onesies weren't pulling on her cord anyway.
I had them, and used one or two, but thats it.

Re: Do I really need...
Ellie lived in the side snap T-shirts b/c of the cord. We loved them. We didn't buy any though. We were told we could take the ones in her bassinet at the hospital so that gave us enough to get through those first few weeks.

Re: Do I really need...
I really liked the side snap shirts. I used them for first 2 months. I actually bought the long sleeve ones to put under his PJ's because they are just like the ones the hosiptal gives you and I only took 1 from the hospital and his hands were always covered. His belly button stub also didnt fall off for 10 days.

Re: Do I really need...
I never used them. I used some of the regular undershirts at first (not side snap, but not onesies). Then I just used onesies. DD was also on the small side so the NB or 0-3 were loose enough not to pull the umbilical cord.

Re: Do I really need...
I had 2 or 3 of them and did find them to be great in the beginning, but only used them for the first few weeks.
However when I was nervous to put things over her head they were very nice! It won't hurt to get a few, just not a lot!

I only bought them because I couldn't find any other long sleeve shirt with the hand cuffs.

Re: Do I really need...
Someone gave the side snap shirts to me at my shower and I did use them for a while. We use our pack n play all the time. We live in a cape so it helps not to have to go up and down. We used the bassinet part for naps and now she plays in the play pen part and once in a while naps and we use the changing table part daily. I have two pack n play sheets and just rotate them.
