I really find that IF talk spreads the word about it...I was watching how I met your mother last night and it was the episode that robin found out she couldnt have kids...it puts it out there for everyone to know that having kids is not as easy or not everyone can have them...

That episode pizzed me off! They were like oh we ran some tests and you can't ever have a baby. What about ivf, donor eggs, surrogate??? No Dr. would run a few tests and be like, oh thats it, aint gonna happen.

That's what I said to DH when we watched it. However, it's a 1/2 hour sitcom, and they just aren't going to go in-depth into IF issues. In the case of Grey's Anatomy and Meredith's "hostile uterus", I felt like since that is a medical drama, they could have addressed the IF issue much better.

Didn't Monica on Friends have that too? What is that?!
They could have said its going to be difficult to get pregnant then say that Aunt Robyn never did have a baby. It just makes light of it which is worse. Don't even bring it into your plotline if you aren't going to talk about a serious issue properly.

well for me bringing it up lets people know that not everyone can have children when and if they want...they could have gone into details but that wasnt the focus of the episode...I can say at least seeing it brought up in shows is good... JMO
