How much?
DH and I are thinking about putting down an offer on a house. Our concern though is the roof and windows aren't updated. Any thoughts on how much that would be approx? I think there are... 8 windows give or take.

It completly depends on the quality of window you get.
Do some research on home depot/Lows to get an idea.
I also thought that this kind of thing was addresses after the home inspection. They come back and say the house needs a new roof and windows, then you address it with a lower offer.
Or, you give a lowball and say "we know it needs X and Y".

What do you mean by "aren't updated"? Is the roof leaking and in disrepair, or does it look like 10 years old? Are the windows rotting, or just not double-paned, low-E windows?

our roof is 10 years old, but we didn't even think to ask for money
