Spinoff to weight
How long did you wear maternity clothes for? For those of you who aren't down to your pre-pregnancy weight, did you just buy new clothes?

Re: Spinoff to weight
I lost a lot of weight after having the baby so I didn't need to wear my maternity clothes after the pregnancy, although Ive gained a bit back and wish I could wear them now! Lol! That elastic belly is so comfy!
I still fit into my pre-preg clothes though.

Re: Spinoff to weight
i mostly wore sweat suit type outfits for a while. then i just bought new clothes in a bigger size. it takes a while for the weight to come off, at least for me. i think around 3-4 months I could fit back into some of my pre-pregnancy pants, but NONE of my tops fit because of my new even bigger boobs. I hope when I stop BFing they will fit again.

Re: Spinoff to weight
I am 8 weeks pp and still wearing maternity clothes. Well, actually, I bought some new tops because my boobs are too big to fit into my old shirts, but as far as pants go, I gained all my weight in my hips and butt, so even though I lost all of my weight, I'm shaped completely differently. I still need to lose about 25 lbs ANYWAY, if not more, so I'm not buying anything new now. I'm fine with the maternity pants for now, even though some are starting to fall off of me I'm still one size bigger than pre-pregnancy. Not big enough for me to warrant buying bigger clothes. I'm just working hard to get my hips and butt to be smaller

Re: Spinoff to weight
I wore maternity pants for at least 8 weeks. I started to lose weight, but not enough to fit into pre pg clothes. I went out and bought some in between clothes, Not alot though , just a pair of jeans, capris, and dress pants.
I have a closet full of clothes waiting for me, that's my inspiration to lose the weight. At 3 months PP i still have 10-12 lbs to lose still.

Re: Spinoff to weight
I wore my maternity cloths 6 weeks pp and I had to put them away otherwise I would have been filling them sooner than we wanted to. DS is 4 months old and I have about 10lbs to go to get to pre-pregnancy and today I tried on my old cloths and some pants actually fit but I wouldn't dare leave the bedroom in them forget about leaving the house. I looked like some people you see in the mall and you think "did they look in the mirror before they left because everything is hanging out". I did buy 3 pairs of capris and a pair of jeans and I wear them ALL THE TIME. as far as shirts they dont seem to fit the same and I went down to the same size bust.

Re: Spinoff to weight
I did not wear Maternity clothes postpartum...I wore my pj pants and sweatpants.
7 months PP and I'm completely shaped different even though I'm only 4 lbs from my Pre PG weight. I had to go up a size in pants.

Re: Spinoff to weight
I wore my pajamas for 3 months basically cause my son had reflux/colic and I basically wanted to die, and would try to sleep at any moment i could. But I would say I was in my Pre Preg clothes within a month or so.. maybe 6 weeks..
