It does look really nice! I almost feel like the waterpark was made to be a Great Wolf lodge, and they just changed their mind! lol. I'm wondering if it's less of a crowd than at GWL

Re: Greek Peak's Hope Lake Lodge & Waterpark in Cortland
We went last May for my brother's graduation from SUNY cortland. There was a group of 10 of us that stayed there and DS was 14 months at the time. We had an amazing time. So much so we plan to go back with the family in October and DS will be two and a half and DD will be 11 months.
I have never been to great wolf so I can't compare the two. I can tell you the hope lake lodge is gorgeous. The rooms are beautiful. All of us stayed in a two bedroom suite. It had a kitchen and slept us all comfortably. There aren't too many good restaurants up there so it was nice to cook for ourselves. The water park was great. It was small but perfect. There was a small kiddie pool/slide and a wave pool and a few adult slides as well as an outdoor pool thats heated and connects to the inside. A hot tub too. The pics on the website show it well. It's small though. It was not crowded at all when we were there but it was spring. I imagine that the winter it is very busy there because of the ski slopes across the street. It was great that there werent a lot of people there The water is salt water and it doesn't stink of chlorine in there which is nice. There is an abundane of life guards that are on the ball. They do drills periodically through day where they throw a dummy in water to make sure they are paying attention.
I can't wait to go back. It was great! There is not one complaint that I have. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks for your response, very helpful! Is there a grocery store nearby? Also does the waterpark itself have a quick service type food area?

Yes and yes. Have so much fun! We can't wait to go back!
Eta- there is also a restaurant in the lodge. We had breakfast there twice. It was pretty good. The food place in the water park was small and had typical concession stand type foods. Nothing spectacular. We didn't eat anything there so I don't know how it was.
