Rare 650 is great
There's also Blackstone in Farmingdale (I know it's Suffolk, but it's close)

Rare 650 was AWESOME! I went there for my company's holiday dinner and the food was AWESOME. Their Kobe Ribeye was insanity and I still dream about the au poiuvre sauce!
Their sushi rolls were pretty darn good too

I have a few ideas - love Rare 650, but what about Waterzooi in Garden City? Thyme in Roslyn? Two in NHP is good too (like Rare, it's a la carte and pricey though), La Marmite in East Williston (I think?), the Restaurant at the Inn at NHP is really good too. Brasserie 214 or something like that. Delish.

Some of my favorites are Park Place (Floral Park), Bob's (Floral Park), Uncle Bacalas (I'm not sure if the address is Garden City or Garden City Park...)

Franks steaks in Rockville Center is delicious...their skirt steak is to die for if you like steak! Their sides are very yummy too...they come family style...went their for my husbands Holiday party and it was delicious
