Re: Can cholesterol drugs hurt sperm?
Hmmm...I never heard of that.
Anti-psychotics and high blood pressure medication are both known causes for azoospermia in a VERY, VERY small number of patients. They often cause retrograde ejaculation, though, (sperm goes into bladder, not out) rather than "killing" the sperm. More likely they just hurt the quality of the sperm, though, not the production.
Did your husband have dead/non-motile sperm? There is a difference between not producing sperm, not ejaculating sperm and poor quality/dead sperm.
Again, there are so many factors that can cause this so i'd try to just put this out of your head and wait for the results. When will the b/w results be in? Also, did he get both hormonal testing as well as a genetic panel run (y-chromosome defects and Klinefelter syndrom)? Both are key to determining a cause.
