I think I may have some answers.

I haven't posted lately, not that I was a big poster to begin with, but I'd taken a step back from everything the last few weeks. For those that don't know, we've done 3 IVFs. The first wasn't so great, but the last two produced perfect 5d blasts and I had early losses both times. Before jumping into another cycle I decided to be proactive or more proactive I'd say. I had a lap, hysteroscopy and d&c. Although I had no symptoms, or symptoms I related to endo, I had a lot of endo removed. This made me feel better as I thought just maybe this could be a cause of the losses. I also went to see a hematologist and he just called to inform me that I evidently have a prothrombin(sp?) gene mutation which is a clotting disorder that has been proven to cause early fetal loss. I haven't researched it yet so I really don't have a clue as to what exactly it is, but don't worry I'll be on google right after this postChat Icon Anyhow, he told me that being put on an anticoagulation(lovenox or heparin???) could help. So now we may have something to work with. And to think we thought it was only MFI lol. I guess some answers are better than none right? If anyone has any experience with endo or the clotting disorder please feel free to share anything you might think is important or helpful.
Thanks for listening!!

Glad you have answers!!! I was wondering where you've been!!

I recently heard the statement that IVF is not just a curing treatment but is also a diagnostic treatment in that you learn things that you wold never know about your body had you not gone through the process...

Good luck!! Chat Icon

I found a hematologist that participates in my insurance, made an appointment and went in telling him I wanted an RPL panel done. LOL

Im glad you have some answers!

I have endo and they mentioned putting me on lupron for 3-4 weeks prior to ivf. I had a lap last year where they removed a lot. They want to keep it at bay and surpressed.
