Question for Home Remodelers - POLL

For your remodel project, who did the bulk of the work - coordinating/organizing the project, selecting colors, talking to contractors, etc. (not the hands-on stuff)?

Re: Question for Home Remodelers - POLL

I did all of the designing and dealt witht the contractors. It is a lot of work and I remodeled my entire house over the last few years. I made the final decision on the paint colors, tile, which contractor, etc. My dh is not into this type of thing at all and tells me just to pick what makes me happy. I went to home depot by myself many a time when 9 months pregnant which was definitely a sight to see but I am very independent.

We shared it equally.

I answered DW though - my mouse slipped.

We both spoke to the contractor, both picked things out, but I was more vocal.

If it had been left up to me only - I would have ran with it. Chat Icon

Re: Question for Home Remodelers - POLL

I answered that I am (DW) more in charge, but DH absolutely has his opinions and I welcome them. I want both of us to be happy with the renovations we make. Once I get an idea of what he wants/likes I then go find it for the least amount of money. I want quality but I don't want to spend a fortune on it. In general DH and I have similar taste so it is relatively easy. One thing DH was adamant on was no ice maker on the face of the door. I agreed so it was an easy decision.
