Has anyone ever brought mom to an appointment?
I know that it seems like a strange question, but I was thinking.... maybe mom would "get it" if I brought her to the Dr. after our initial IVF consult? What do you think?
It's so hard to explain to her what is going on exactly... she is in disbelief that we have to go through IVF (as am I  ). She's convinced if I lose 20lbs. that i'll just *poof* get pregnant.
Maybe if I show her PIO, she'll get it?

my mom came to a bunch of my appts. at one CD3 she (who thinks shes a doctor) pointed out something on the sono screen that caused dr. B to follow up with a hysteroscopy at another appointment in her Jewish mom prying ways she got dr. B to share that in his other life he's a composer/musician...fun times!!

My family "got it", but there were two times where my mom or dad had to come. It was nice to have the support.

My mom "got it" most of the time.. though I was not shy about showing her bruises... drugs.. and yes that includes PIO needles Ya do what ya gotta do!

Personally, MY DH & I decided to keep our IF journey to ourselves, it's so stressful enough, I cant imagive having to update family or co-workers with everythin.....but we are very private people, if your mom is supportive then yes totally bring her!!!
