Whole Milk?
What age do you start giving it? My daughter is only 9 months, and I saw the remains of chocolate milk in a bottle today, and I could KILL my husband! She shouldnt be having milk, and she DOES NOT NEED chocolate milk.
It doesnt look like she drank much, and she's not having a bad reaction to it....

We started around 10 months. If she doesn't have a milk allergy its really not a problem that she had milk.
ETA: She still gets formula bottles. We just give her milk in the sippy.

We started weaning little by litte at 10 months
week 1 - 1oz to 7oz of formula
week 2- 2 oz to 6oz of formula
week 3- 3 oz to 5oz of formula
etc....
I think after week 5- Im just gonna switch to whole milk all together.... but we will see- I have formula in the house.. so I guess Ill use it until it runs out....
My ped. gave me the ok.... but wanted me to do it this way- so he was still getting the vitamins and nutrients in formula... for those last 8 weeks....
Ryans done real well on it!

My first started whole milk 11 days before he turned 1. My 2nd started last week (14 days before he turns 1).

 Chocolate milk in the bottle sounds like something my DH would do. I think I would freak out but love him for wanting to give her a treat.

In the UK we are advised to start giving your baby small amounts of cows milk at six months, like yogurt or in their cereal. So Noah gets yogurt.

I switched over jut beofre a year, but don't worry about giving it sooner. As long as your DC doesn't have an milk allergy, it's fine. The only reason they say to wait until 1 year is so mothers in lower socio-economic families will continue to give formula (event hough its more expensive) for the nutrients.
