Went to Dr.

I went to the Dr this morning and she is starting me on Metformin while DH gets a sperm analysis. Then, if everything is good with his little swimmers, she is going to put me on Clomid for a few cycles. She said she won't put me on Clomid unless I lose 2 lbs by the next appointment (February 1st).

I am excited to get started and have been reading ever post that ever mentioned Metformin!!

Side question -- Quest stopped doing semen analysis and I'm finding it hard to get insurance to cover it or that even does it. For anyone who knows someone that did SA, where did he get it done?

ETA: I'm the same way. Every time my doctor suggests a new drug or treatment I read over every single post in the past to see what everyone's experiences has been with it!

My first RE alpt is 1/12 and I'm curious where we'll start.

My GYN is sending DH to East Coast Fertility for the SA- they Used to use a lab, but no longer do. I've even told that @ East Coast they take the sample & test it right there.

I started metformin this week (500 2x a day). I am still working on losing weight (so far I am down 112 pounds) but we hope to start medicated cycles in June.
