Where are you in Nassau? If you're in W. Nassau (S Shore) I can recommend Delicious Moments, Lawson Deli and Pancho's Cantina.

Re: Anyone know of a nice but affordable catering place in Nassau ?
Fairway in Plainview has great catering! I usually do a hero, they cut it and arrange it nicely on a platter. It also comes w/ a HUGE salad (they have choices) and two huge bowls of side salads (mac, potato, cole slaw etc). They have many other dishes as well.
They have their catering menu on their website.
I usually do the hero w/ salads and then I add some Italian dishes I usually buy at Costco. Usually meatballs, ziti, shells and lasagna.
ETA: I think their prices are very reasonable for the amount of food. I think I pay like $60 for the hero w/ the huge salad, dressing, and side salads. It feeds a lot! I usually do 1/2 american and 1/2 italian but they offer a lot of options.

Manhasset Deli on Plandome Road. I have no idea on pricing. to be honest, their prices arent really what i would consider cheap when you go in there for just a sandwich or something but what i can say is that the quality and freshness of their food is unbeatable. it always great food and also they will never let you down as far as delivering what they say they will..its worth a shot to see what their pricing is though.
Also La bottega caters and they have good food. they are also on Plandome Road, actually right across the street from the Deli
