UPDATE - Fert Report 12-29-11 ER was today!
They got 19 little eggies!
I wasn't nervous until I was dressed and being taken into the room. I have never been put under before and felt they were going too fast. The guy administering the meds was a little bit of a jerk. I asked if I was going to get sick and he said something like no it won't make you sick but pain can make you sick.
When he injected the meds I felt a whoosh across my chest and they were like goodnight and I was thinking I'm still here, stilll here, and then I was dreaming but can't remember what. I was sooo tired when they woke me and sent me to recovery.
In recovery I forced myself to focus and wake up. I had no pain really. Just felt heaviness in my sides. Kind of a fullness like I've had with iui's before. When I got home I passed out for 3 hours and I have some O type pain. I haven't bled at all so far.
I was given the progesterone injections. It is in the seasme oil. I guess I didn't realize what it was when they explained to me but just had a crying breakdown when I saw the needle!!! Is this the PIO you guys talk about? Wtfffff?! That is just wrong. Why can't it be a small baby needle?
Anyway I just did it. Iced first then heat. It was fine. Didn't hurt but gross that it was hard to push in and then push meds out.
I guess now I wait and see how many fertilize. Please see prayers for me! I get to cycle with them until my eggs run out and then I'm own my own. So I'm praying for this to work.

UPDATE 12-29-11
Out of the 19 eggs, 15 fertilized, 3 are pending and 1 had a broken zona and had to be discarded.

And yes.. that's PIO!! 
Honestly, it's not THAT bad.. and I'll tell you what... I had a choice for my last FET to do supps or PIO and I actually chose the PIO!!  So, trust me it's not THAT bad.. you just get used to it... it becomes routine.
I used to ice.. do the PIO.. then sit on a heating pad.. but my latest routine has been heating it beforehand instead of ice and its been much better. I got much fewer bumps and soreness then next day. Your DH should be the one giving it to you ... Did they explain all that?
 I'm so excited for you!!! I hope this is the first of many very positive updates!!

I never iced before PIO... If anything, I would use heat after. I also always ran the injection under warm water before injecting it - it made it less thick and easier to inject
19 eggs is great! Praying for a great fertilization report for you!

I'm so glad it went well!!! 19 is perfect  Hoping for a great fertilization report tomorrow!!!
And yes, heat first instead of icing. It makes a HUGE difference.

That's a lot of eggies! Congtrats. I personally hate hate hate the PIO shot. I have been doing it for over a month now and I have a itchy, bruised, welted arse from it....hopefully you stay with the shot it short! Good luck!

Bump for update!
And to add about the PIO, I feel like I have to freeze the area as not to feel it, wouldn't heating it make it more sensitive?
And PennyCat you mentioned my Husband helping? He almost passed out when I pulled the needle out. He wanted to take me to a doctor and have them do it! So I will be the one doing them all.

Great fert report!!
Men are such pansies sometimes, mine threw up the first time. But became used to it, and now feels that something is missing during our morning routine.
