Should I get a permanent french?

I was thinking I'd like to do something different but whenever I do something different to my hair I end up horribly regretting it Chat Icon

I already have a ton of makeup (most of which I hardly use..) So .. I was thinking getting a permanent french could be fun.

From those who have had it .. is it worth it, or would I just end up regretting this too, like a bad haircut?

ETA: I normally go for manicures every week, so I was thinking this would make them look nice without having to run every week to get them done...

You can do Shellac French. its a 2wk or even 3wk wear, you then soak and it flakes off in 5 min or less and then change the look or color and even go back to regular mani's.

I'm in NJ so I get mine done at a spa so I am not sure about smaller places.

Re: Should I get a permanent french?

Even with the shelac my nails were ruined. It lasted for 3 weeks, which was great, but I need to have nothing on my nails for at least a month after getting it done two times in a row.

Re: Should I get a permanent french?

I had permanent french for a while, and I do like it. I usually do it once a year for like 3 months and then get sick of it and remove it. It looks nice, but typing and doing everyday things gets annoying, esp if you get them a little longer than your natural nails. I also got sick of going every 2 weeks to get them filled in - it becomes a chore (and can be $$). I like doing it in the summer b/c then i never have to worry about matching colors on my fingers to my toes. It goes with everything!

I love my permanent French. I go every three weeks for a fill in. My nails don't get ruined from them for some reason. When I got acrylic they destroyed them.

Re: Should I get a permanent french?

I got it done for my wedding and I just had them done for my brothers wedding last month. They looked great and didn't have to polish for like 3 weeks. I got them off a few weeks ago and now my nails are not the same. Very thin and hard to grow. I don't thnk I would do it again.

Re: Should I get a permanent french?

I had them for about a ur and half. I loved it. Always looked nice, less maintenance than weekly manis. I took them off because I missed colors, very short nails, and wanted a change. When I removed them, my nails were very week for about a month or so. Until the damaged nail grew out.
