thinking about not taking Provera *update*

So today is CD29 and I can O anywhere from day 21-31. This cycle has been very slow...despite being on 2 rounds of clomid back to back. As of yesterday my RE saw a follicle at 17mm and my estradiol level, which is always low, is slowly creeping up. I went back this morning to IVF and I am still at 17mm and they didn't tell me my estradiol level but they want me to start provera because they think the cycle is lost. 2 cycles ago I went through the same thing, took the provera, and ovulated after taking it but I didn't BD because I was told I wasn't going to O that cycle. Therefore, I am thinking about not taking it and testing at home to see if I O in the next few days and BD like crazy if I get a surge...I want to trust my RE but I feel like I have been told conflicting info. She told me that I needed to take Provera last time because I was not going to O. Then when I did O she told me that was rare but it can happen. Then she told me that it isn't rare and happens often, and then yesterday she told me the Provera made me O So which is it....I looked on-line but can find nothing that states the provera can make you O. HELP Please any advice is appreciated!

I had the something similar happen to .. it wasn't the best cycle so we didn't waste time. So,....my DH and I tried at home. I didn't use sticks.....but I say go for it!

I think af would come....I've only had 1 cycle a year ago where I had to take it. I am just thinking I may still O on my own.
