What are your work-wear staples/basics?
I started a new job where the dress code airs on the side of dress/trendy (event/hospitality). My last job was very business casual. I have been buying lots of great pieces here and there, but wondered what are some other staples I should have?
I currently have:
-2 pr. black trousers
-1 pr. grey trousers
-black pencil skirt
-camel pencil skirt
-grey pencil skirt
-lots of silky/patterned tanks/tops to wear under cardigans or fitted blazers
-shirtdresses in different styles
-couple of tunic tops to wear over tights/leggings
-couple of sweaters and sweaterdresses
-fitted black cropped blazer
I like to accessorize with scarves/jewelry.
Is there anything I am missing? I shop mainly at Loft, BR, Marshalls, etc.

I like a nice cardigan with a tank underneath. I'm wearing a cute one from Target today that's apple green with 2 flowers on the upper right shoulder. I have another one that's black with a pearl flowers on the shoulder. I always get lots of compliments on them.

I like a nice cardigan with a tank underneath. I'm wearing a cute one from Target today that's apple green with 2 flowers on the upper right shoulder. I have another one that's black with a pearl flowers on the shoulder. I always get lots of compliments on them.
My friends call me the cardigan queen  I love a good cardi!!!

 I love it!! I need more, it's become my uniform lately.

Dresses and skirts
In the summer it's AWESOME. I have so many gorgeous summer dresses
In winter it's a lot of sweater dresses or black pencil skirts with various tops.
I HATE wearing pants.

Me too! Love dresses and hate pants!
SAME! I do much better in the warm weather with my dozens of sundresses....even when it's not so warm with a cardigan over.
In the winter I like sweater dresses or even a skirt/sweater/ tights.
I'm wearing jean today because it's before break, but pants are tough for me to find.
I have a pair of Gap black pants from 1999 that I love and still wear
