pushed back another month.. update to WWYD?
So friggin annoying... insurance wont verify my coverage till Jan 1st. I verified that I;'ll have 50% covered but aetna can't give a stupid code untill the 1st which is 6 days after my next cycle will start. So of course, it's too late to start BCP. 
Dr said I could chance it but Aetna may reject the whole procedure if they find out we went ahead in advance without approval

Would you chance it and start taking BCP anyway knowing that they may reject it? Or wait it out another month and risk my gonal f expiring  Someone on LIF was soooo kind to give it to me...

Hmmm do they need to know when u start the pill? Its not like u are doing the injectables yet at that point? If u start the pill and they reject can u stop the pill and just start again the next month? I would hate it to be pushed again. Ps a couple of the meds u got expire in feb. Ask the doc if they are still ok to take if u have to push it back again. Xo

That is so annoying. Can u just start the pill? Even if u pay for the pill OOP, I think it would still be worth it.

Yes, they need to know.. but starting and stopping is a great idea!
My first question was about the meds and I was going to FM u. But they said feb exp date means llast day of feb. I just looked at the calendar and if i start in my jan cycle.. that means Ill be on bcp roughly from jan 22 for 21 days-that's his protocol. And then start injectibles on 2/11. Would I be done with injectibles by 2/28?

Thanks girls.. I asked him about getting bcp from my regular ob.. he said thats between me and my ob but he's not writing anything down that;s not factual. Im not asking to do anything wrong but honestly there are plenty of women on bcp.. I dont really get it.
He said insurance companies are very unpredictable so Idk what to do.

ugh that stinks! I have to wait until Jan 1 also and with my cycle, Dr Brenner said I wont be starting until closer to Feb
If you could start the BCP, you should.

be caeful what you do, I work for an ins. company and they really are stickler to when the actual expenses incured vs. what plan is in place, so you might be paying out of pocket for anything done this month....good luck though, I know timing and not having control over it puts an extra amount of stress on everything.......

I don't get how the insurance would know when you start birth control. I have seen all my EOB for my Ivf cycles and they don't start billing til you go in for your actual sono and bloodwork followed by retrieval, emryology billing then transfer. I don't see how starting birth control could get you denied. They don't see your protocols, as far as I know. They just get billed on actual days you go in.So strange. Why don't you call the billing manager and ask her. I believe they would know the best but I have never heard of that.

It def adds more stress.. but as far as paying for things this month, I currently have different insurance that covers BCP. So, I wouldnt be responsible for anything OOP. Its when injectibles start that I need my new coverage to kick in and be approved.
