Re: Post your makeup secrets/tips
first i use neutrogena moisterizer. Then depending if i remember i use primer on my cheeks. Then i put Bobbi Brown corrector under my eyes to get rid of my circles. I use makeup forever camoflague concealer for little things i want to clear up. Then i use Makeup Forever HD Foundation all over (sometimes i use a wet sponge to distribute). Then i either use Nars O*GASM or NYX mocha blush. after thats all in place i usually just curl my lashes, put on mascara and shadow in my brows. All this takes about 10 minutes. I like the results for the most part - it doesnt look cakey which is key.

Re: Post your makeup secrets/tips
foundation(benefit playstick right now, but I may try something new) Blush eyeshadow-this is where I do most of my experiementing. I use all sorts of colors-greens, purples, peaches, neutrals, golds etc I always use a dark brown shadow as eyeliner. I have an eyeliner brush, I put water on it and dip into the eyeshadow and draw a line, I sometimes play around with this too-thick or thin, narrow in the middle and thicker on the ends, all the way to the corner of my eye or only half way etc. Mascara I also like to use different lipsticks. If I have a neutral eye, I will go for a sheer intense color. If I have more adventurous eyecolor, I use my burts bees tinted lip balm

Re: Post your makeup secrets/tips
My biggest "secret" is that I finally figured out how to put on eyeshadow this year. I had always avoided it and only owned a couple colors because I always did it the way I THOUGHT you were supposed to, and I always felt it actually made my eyes look worse! Smaller and more deep set. So finally I saw something in a magazine about doing the right makeup for your eye type, and looking at the different examples I saw I have "hooded" eyes. I checked out a youtube video and learned how to apply the colors. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Now I see how eyeshadow really enhances your eyes when done correctly. Unfortunately now I have a huge urge to buy all sorts of new shadows

Re: Post your makeup secrets/tips
This is my new favorite thing I just learned. (From Marlena of Makeupgeek.com)
Make sure your blush & lip colors are in the same color family, and if you are wearing a non neutral eyeshadow, choose one in the opposite color family. For example a cool blue-green eyesahdow with a warm peach blush & lipgloss.
It really does make a difference.

This is so so interesting to me! I always kept everything the same family.
I am definitely going to try this!
I guess my 2 makeup tips are 1) to heat your eyelash curler with your hairdryer for a few seconds before using it on your lashes. It really does act like a curling iron. My other tip 2) is you can really use any shadow as an eyeliner. I also use lots of peach shadows and mix with clear lipgloss on my lips.
HTH! :)
