awake time?
What do you do with your baby in the very begining while he/she is awake?
DS is two weeks old - so he is still sleeping most of the time but can be up for a hour here or their during the day or night - what should I be doing with him while he is awake - I talk to him, read/show him a book - put him in a bouncy seat anything else????
Edited to add... he is in his bouncy seat right now, not sure if he is happy or frustrated?

He'll let you know if he's unhappy. He'll scream bloody murder until he learns to modulate his cries to mean different things.

I"ve been questioning the same thing with my 16-day-old. We talk and sing to him, put him in his bouncy seat and his swing or take him for a walk. It's hard to occupy them at this age.
