VS quality gone downhill
Does anyone else find this true? I used to love their Very Sexy push up bras and I had a few that lasted me years. The last one I just bought not too long ago looks like crap. Same with their panties...Maybe it's me but IMO I find the quality not so good anymore especially for the prices.

Re: VS quality gone downhill
The panties have always been shitttty iIMO They fall apart after a few washes. I find Target panties hold up better!
I also once got a pair of black pants- I washed them in COLD water with Woolite dark, hung them to dry etc They faded from black to gray in that one wash and they wrinkled so bad they looked like a rag that I couldn't even iron the wrinkles out of.
I was pizzed becasue they weren't cheap- but luckily their CS was great and took them back refunded me and gave me a merchandise credit to boot.

ITA! I used to love their yoga pants, I ordered them this season--the material is not nearly as thick at all! I am finding this with many stores lately that I usually love--the loft, ny and co, kohls..the quality SUCKS!

Re: VS quality gone downhill
Their panties were decent back when I was in college in the 90s. They've been AWFUL for years now. Honestly I've gotten better quality ones at Target.
So many stores have gone downhill. Old Navy-- not that their stuff was ever known to be top quality, but now the t-shirts are stretched out and pilled up after literally 1 or 2 washes and the jeans are junky and don't hold their shape. I refuse to shop there anymore.
Payless Shoes haven't gone "downhill" exactly, but their prices have gone up too far. At least I used to be able to get cheap "disposable" shoes for the kids. Now I see their junky plastic sneakers for kids are like $24.99. Are you serious? I could go to Famous Footwear with a coupon and pay maybe $5 more and get Nike or Adidas or something.

Re: VS quality gone downhill
Totally agree - I stopped buying VS a few years ago.
I do like Gap Body undies. I find they hold up well in the wash. They can be expensive so every time I go into a gap, I check out clearance. I have gotten them for as low as $2.
I like the gap body pj's and stuff too.
Agree on old navy. They used to be good for casual t shirts, basics, and maybe a cute top that you think may only be in style for one year. Now I find things don't even hold up for one season.
NY&Co I think has really gone down hill too. I haven't shopped there in a long time either.

I totally agree! I ordered some clothes & sent it all back. I did keep 2 summer dresses that I love, but the rest was cheap, & over all the undies don't hold up (except for a few cotton ones I have)

I have gotten a few Gap Body pieces at the Gap Outlet and they have all held up fantastically!
I haven't shopped at VS in a long time (had 2 kids back to back and am still working on getting back in shape), but now I know to stay away!!!!

I have heard SO many people complain about this, and maybe it's because I only buy the PINK undies, but I love them and I have pairs that have held up for years, they are the only ones I will buy!

Re: VS quality gone downhill
I have a few pieces from VS. their yoga pants are great, and their leggings hold up well but they are so thin. I like most of the shirts I have from them as well. The only things that I hated, and were a total waste of money, were their pants (khaki, not dress). The fit was good and they held up well but they did that awful wrinkling thing on either side of the ****** that you get when you sit and it made me sooooo mad, plus they stretched out in 2 seconds while wearing them.

Re: VS quality gone downhill
I used to get my bras from VS but they kept breaking- the quality was so poor. I just get them from Target now and they last longer for a third of the price.

Re: VS quality gone downhill
I have VS sweaters from a few years ago that have held up really well. and then i have one I bought a few weeks ago, and with 2 washings it has not held up well.
their undies...i think they're ok. i like the Body by Victoria or the cotton hip huggers. the waist bands tend to pull after a while.
i feel like everything today is made to be disposable, but yet the prices dont seem to reflect that.

Re: VS quality gone downhill
I used to love VS Pink undies because they used to last sooooo long. Wash after wash after wash....I still have some pairs from years ago but they're still are in great condition. But pairs that I have bought more recently have definitely NOT lasted long A couple of washes, and the lace trim is already ripping.
