Anyone else tired of getting pictures in the mail everyday of everyones babies next to a tree?

Yep, I usually display them every year which adds to the torture, this year I looked at them and put them to the side, need to focus on ourselves during this time, dont get me wrong happy for all my friends and family and their kiddies, but need to put energy into making our own this year....

as much as i love looking at kids pics (especially screaming santa pics), yes im leaving the mail up to dh this season.

Not so much with the kids' pictures, but just sad in general. it's supposed to be a time when everyone is excited and happy and cheery... I can't even crack a smile. My mind is consumed and I feel like I got the life sucked out of me. I totally don't want to be like this... I'm usually so bubbly!

That is exactly how I feel. I am a very positive person. This whole thing is just wearing me down. Dh and I just got into a huge fight because I told him I really was not into Christmas this year. He told me he just wanted this next three weeks to enjoy each other and be a normal couple without talking about fertility.

This is totally me right now. I don't want gifts, I don't want to buy gifts, I am a total party pooper this year.

Raises hand. I am SO not in a holiday mood this year. We are in the middle of a cycle and I don't even feel like I'm cycling b/c we just have so much going on, and basically 99% of it are bad or sad things. My transfer is scheduled for a week from today and I told DH I am SO negative and so down with everything that's been going on around us... I can't even begin to imagine that this is going to work at this point.. So not the holly jolly time of the year...
That being said, I've only gotten a couple of pics in the mail, and they were from previous IFers, so I liked getting them. I wanted to get my kids (furbabies) pics to put on a card to send out like we did last year, but haven't managed to find the time and seriously don't think I'll be able to at this point. And in other years I would care enough to somehow make the time, but I just can't be bothered w/ everything else going on...

We're not even opening them. Once I see the return address, I know what's inside. I'm done feeling guilty about my jealousy of other people's children. This has been going on long enough that I feel entitled to my grinchiness--even blocked recent preggers from my FB news feed because I just can't take the belly pics and daily updates.

I'm set to get my period (after missing my ovulation this month thanks to the fabulous CBEFM) about a week before Christmas.

This time, when New Year's comes around, I will literally be in the exact same place as last year...no new accomplishments, a year stolen by appointments and procedures and AF and angst.

So yeah, really looking forward to the holidays.

I open them.....stare at them for a few minutes feeling sorry for myself.....then in the drawer they go. I dont need them out as a constant reminder of what I still dont have yet. I have enough reminders.

But I pray someday Ill have my own childrens pics to send out. Who knows???

I work for a baby company so all I see all day long are pictures of babies and baby clothes. It's incredibly difficult some days. But then I try to remain positive, I know its hard.

Praying I don't know how you do that... I always skip that section if I'm in a store because I don't want to get choked up in public.
I do my own private crying but around my friends and family, I try to be my usual bubbly self.
