Oil Burner Noise
We live in a levit home so we have no basement. Our oil burner is located on the 1st floor its behind a sort of flimsy sliding door. Is there anyway to reduce the noise? its very loud and comes on ofter do to the heat being on...is there a sound reducer thing-a-ma-jig...or do you think if we put a heavier door it will reduce the sound.
Any input would be appreciated...Thanks!

I would love to know too! It doesn't really bother us but when i'm in our bathroom, I sometimes hear it. I don't know how my tenant stands it She's right next to it but she has never said anything??

Re: Oil Burner Noise
The only thing you can do is to sound insulate the room but its probably not worth it. I am not in a levitt house but basically the same and ours in in the kitchen in the closet. I am used to it by now and barely hear it

Re: Oil Burner Noise
is the door made of real wood or is it made of masonite which is hallow? a solid door would absorb more sound.
