Mammogram... UPDATE

I went last Fri. I just got a call from my RE's nurse saying they just got the results in and that I have to go for additional testing. I asked her if they found something and she said "they found no evidence of a malignant tumor but your breasts are dense and they want to do more testing"

My mother had breast cancer and so did my great grandmother. Im a little worried but she wouldve told me if they saw something that concerned them right? She wouldnt just say oh they need to do more tests ...

ugh, i thought we were on track to begin ivf and now something else comes up. what the fukk.

UPDATE: i called back because I was nervous. She said in young women who get mammograms (under 40 yrs old) the breast tissue is dense and sometimes the mammo cant get good imaging results so theyre doing a baseline ultrasound to complete the testing. Im better now.

I hope everything works out well. I can't imagine how scary that phone call was. My mom and grandmother also had breast cancer.
