Sorel Cate the Great

DH is going to order these for me for Christmas.

Does anyone have them or other Sorel boots? Any recommendations??

I have a pair of Sorel Joan of Arctic. I've worn them a few times and I HATE them!!! They are, hands-down, the most uncomfortable, clunky pair of shoes I have ever owned. They dig into my ankles so badly that they break the skin.

I thought maybe I just needed to break them in, but its to the point where after like 3-4 times of wearing them I can't even think about putting them on again.

A friend has the Cate the Greats and has the same problem.

So am I! I was just about to order Sorel Caribou for my MIL and now I'm not sure. The reviews are consistently good but a little all over the place as far as pros and cons go. Chat Icon

I think people either love them or hate them, there isn't much inbetween.

So am I! I was just about to order Sorel Caribou for my MIL and now I'm not sure. The reviews are consistently good but a little all over the place as far as pros and cons go.

I have the Sorel Caribous and I love them. They are clunkier than the Joan of Artics but I needed a serious boot for winter outdoor activities like ice fishing and snowmobiling. I'm from MN and we do those things in 0 degree temps. They work well for my purposes, but I can see how people might think they are cumbersome to just wear out when it snows.

I got the Sorel Cumberlands last year and I love them. They were comfy and kept my feet warm and dry. And they came in handy with all that snow we had Chat Icon
