Am I the only person on the planet who doesn't wear eyeshadow?

I am a make up person- I never leave the house without it- even to go grocery shopping, errrands etc.
I need foundation at the least.
I alway do eyeliner and mascara
And bronzer on the cheeks
Gloss on the lips
I even go over my brows with brow powder when going out or to work- to define them.

But I never wear eyeshadow.
I think part of it is because when I try it looks awful- the colors blend together, nothing stays defined, it just looks messy etc
My lids are just not nice- I feel like you can't really see eyeshadow when I wear it anyway-almost like my brow bone is low and just hides my lids.

I feel like the only person on the planet though!
I guess I'm not complaining- it takes me long enough to get ready in the morning as it is!

I don't wear eyeshadow either. Not because it looks bad on me, but because I have no idea how to do it.

I wear eye shadow every day.. not colors everyday.. if I want to go nude, I'll wear a shade in the color of my skin..

I love makeup.. love putting it on and putting it on other people.. I'm a junkie

I never wear it, I don't even own any. But I have no eyelids when my eyes are open and probably would if I did, I envy people with huge visible lids!!

I am terrible at putting eye shadow on but always loves the way it looks on others. I also think my lids are smaller and deeper than others and it looks silly on me. But I feel like i need to brighten up my eyes sometimes so I just bought this and wore it to a party over the weekend.
1 step and it was simple and looked good...
I got it in a more neutral color than this pic - I got fire/bronze.
The fatter end - step 1 - you just roll it on your lid and it looks good.
The more defined end can be used an a liner if you want or you don't need it.

I only wear it if I'm going somewhere like out with friends/family/events etc.

Otherwise my normal makeup consists of just face powder, blush, and eyeliner

My everyday wear is Laura Mercier eye basics in buff, its pretty much just a primer but with pigment so it can be used as a "shadow". Its foolproof and makes my eyelids look natural but polished and bright.

Sometimes I wear shadow and I just blend, blend, blend. You can also look on youtube for tutorials..

I even tried this once:
Figured it was 100% fool proof.


It looked great on the applicator- all 3 colors so nice together- but not so much on my small, uneven eyelid.
It turned into a blended mush of cr@p just like everything else!

I never wore eyeshadow or eyeliner until about a year ago. My sister (10 years younger than me) did my makeup for a wedding and taught me how to do it!

Now, I feel like I look funny without the eyeshadow and eyeliner.

I didn't for years, for the same reasons. Now I do all the time. There are different ways to apply it to small lids, hooded lids, etc.

I am also picky about brands b/c for years every looked muddy & dull on me, and would disappear. I have also learned that brushes are important--I think I have been using the wrong types, so I am working on picking out new ones.

ETA- I used that studio secrets thing too & it was a disaster.

i have a low brow bone and it bugs me that eyeshadow never looks right on me but i've been learning via Youtube and practicing and i've actually gotten a few compliments lately.

this thing sucks. it covers half my lid and you can't see the different colors.

I don't...I have dark eyelids and everyone always thinks I'm wearing it anyway..my eyes are also a very very different color so I feel like there is too much going on when I do wear eyeshadow..I'll wear very smoky greys and black for an event...

I had this exact same problem and couldn't figure out why I couldn't do my makeup like the other girls I would see, or why doing a smokey eye would look awful on me. Turns out I have a hooded eye (which it sounds like you have too) and it is actually one of the most common eye shapes. I youtubed videos on doing makeup for hooded eyes, and now when I do makeup I get SO many compliments. My FIL even siad "I didn't know your eyes were green" Guess I just never accentuated them right!

I was lookign at it today and its like my brow bone comes down and covers my eyelids!
