Those with DH that likes to hunt.

Anyone's DH go away on hunting vacations? DH his friend are turning 40 next year and me and his friend's wife were thinking of instead of a party, to send them away on a hunting vacation. Anyone know how to go about this and find good deals? Usually they just drive upstate for a weekend. They've never gone anywhere else and i'm sure they would love to go. I have no clue on where are the better locations or licenses... etc. I would appreciate any advise. TIA

DH hunts.
He usually just goes a few weekends a season upstate with friends.
This year they said they are going to book an excursion for next year. It's like a 4 day trip for a set price (they are looking at $700-$1000) trips. everything is included. You can choose different ones based on what your Dh wants to hunt. They don't guarantee you get anything, but they definitely help you out.
It depends where your DH wants to go- upstate or out of state...what he's looking to hunt- deer, turkey, bear, etc. and how much you want to spend.

Dh picked up a few hunting magazines and there are tons of Ads for these kind of places..once you narrow down what you are looking for- you can call them, make reservations and they should be able to tell you if you need any special licenses/tags.

You should look into it sooner rather than later, as they tend to book up, bc hunting season is short (depending on what animal and where).
