Ummm yes all may not have eggs. Where do the empty ones go? I think the land of oz. When u iui and have 3 how do they know they all have eggs? They don't. And that's why ivf is considered more exact for one reason. Hmm not sure if that all helped lol gl!

thats just life !! not every follie has an egg... not every fruit seed produces a plant.. not every human egg will produce a baby.

this is true if you have PCOS or dont have a reliable LH surge. many people stim and ovulate on their own, its just better for optimal IUI/ER timing if you trigger. trigger will override any natural surge (assuming its properly timed).

i have no idea on this one.

they do not but its not the most common thing in the world to have lots of follies without eggs. when you stim for say IVF and have 20-30 follies, then yes, some may not have eggs, but the majority still will. when you do a stim for an IUI with 2 or 3 follies, its assumed, and in most cases correct, that they all or majority contain eggs.

They can kinda tell that there is at least 1 egg present by bloodwork. If estrogen is high at CD10 monitiring (or whatever day you go for monitoring).
Last month I went in CD9 and they only saw some odd follie/cyst outside my ovary. They did b/w and when I went back on CD11 there was a 23mm follie IN the other ovary they had missed on CD9. They said they knew something was up b/c my estrogen was really high especially concidering I waas using Femara (you cant always base on estrogen levels with it b/c the way it works)

if you have tons of follies and they never release, I think they turn into cysts.
Also, last cycle I had 2 cysts from the meds. I made a bunch of follies, mature and immature, so after I o'ed, they turned into two cysts.
This cycle, I made 10 follies, 4 mature. I triggered and now at 3DPO, I'm feeling the cyst pain again. It's likely that's what happened again

Sometimes they do rupture and refil with fluid which causes pain. This is part of why they do CD3 bloods- to check if anything with an egg didn't rupture.
