Where did you do your research?
Even about the actual process of buying a home..
My bf and I are trying to do all the research we can..we're currently looking into mortgage rates at banks/credit unions, and we check mlsli each day for new listings
But how did you learn about the whole process of buying a home? I feel like I normally do research for everything, and this is going to obviously be the biggest purchase we ever make.
Any books? Websites?

Re: Where did you do your research?
We got a lot of our info from friends/family members and some realtors and mortgage people. We just picked their brains.

Re: Where did you do your research?
I did most of our research online and used our friend's opinions and recommendations for finding the right locality and banks etc. Here are some sites that I found useful. You should def play around with the calculators on Bankrate.com to get a good idea of how much house to buy. Good Luck.
