HSG results

Im really upset/mad ..

i had an HSG done last Friday.. it was HORRIBLE... EXTREMLYYY painful and i passed out afterwards...

anyways, i just got off the phone with the doctor... my left tube (where i had the ectopic) is ok but my right tube is completely blocked. she wants to check the dilation of it and if its dilated too much i have to get it removed... i realllllly hope i dont have to get it removed :(

im also soooo ANGRY at my ex RE... they never mentioned anything to me about having an HSG before doing IUI's and i'm almost positive that the reason i got the ectopic was b/c they never did the HSG
....i feel like b/c of them i have wasted soooo much time and money on procedures that just were never going to work....

the only 'good' thing about this is my insurance will now probably approve me for IVF... but now i have to waste yet another month

on top of everything else.. another one of my good friends told me last night she was pregnant (after 1st try).. so thats 4 friends in the past month that have gotten preggo on their first or second try (dont get me wrong im happy for them, but can't help to feel bad for myself Chat Icon )

sorry so long.. im just soooo down... i hate this never ending IF road

Re: HSG results

Im so sorry ... Id be very angry too if the RE didnt take appropriate steps before doing the IUI's. I know it seems like terrible news right now but at least now you have a new RE, you know what part of the issue is and can move forward. I Chat Icon you do not have to get the blocked tube removed. Hope you feel betterChat Icon

ugh that is so frustrating, i'm so sorry. Chat Icon I know what you mean because at the current RE I have been seeing, they had not requested to do an HSG on me and I have done IUI's! I said something to my doc last month and he said that he didn't think it was necessary at this point...

Re: HSG results

That's terrible that your old RE did not catch that!! The good news is now you have answers and you can now move on to the next steps. Good Luck

Re: HSG results

Chat Icon I am so sorry! Your ex-RE should have done HSG as part of their screening process before even suggesting IUI!! Hopefully you will not have to remove your tube and even if you do there has been many success stories with only one tube! Good luck with everything!
